I just saw the gameplay video and i must say that the game look sweet. i definitily can not wait for this game to hit the stores.
you know why the game is going to flop, because the industry/media already made up their minds. They won't give the game a bloody chance. As soon as they saw that Sony proved all them haters wrong that though they would never achieve the kind of visual shown in the tech demo back then, the hater got all defensive and started looking for something else to downplay the game. The gaming media can't even give credit where credit is do.

there are different ways to avoid paying royalties to Sony.But let me ask you this, wouldn't having two types of disk drive in one hardware increase the manufacturing cost of that piece of hardware? The only reason i am asking is because, i am not sure. Like for example you stated that one drive could be use for games (hd-dvd) and one for movies(blueray) wouldn't that increase the manufacturing cost of the hardware. I know Sony had plans to cut the price of the ps3 in 4 to 5 months from now. What i see Sony doing is wait and seeing how the consumers react to the price drop, if they see that the price drop had minimal impact,then they will wait. Even though i don't believe Sony needs to cut the price of the ps3, I do believe they should find another way to counter Microsoft price cut. After further thinking i came to the conclusion that, i don't think sony needs to cut the price of the ps3, at 400$ dollars the ps3 is already at a good affordable prie. They have no choice but to. If they see things going south from this price cut then they will have to. unless they want to see microsoft run away with this gen. I think they have been planning to cut the price, they have been working at reducing the cost of the ps3 manufacturing price for a while now. They probably where planning on reducing the cost a long time ago but are trying to find a way to do with minimal damage to their funds.
